Marcus Johnson | Director of Engagement

Marcus Johnson is a seasoned political strategist and community organizer with a passion for grassroots engagement and conservative advocacy. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Southern University and A&M College, where he developed a strong foundation in public relations, political strategy, and outreach.

Marcus began his political career with the Republican Party of Louisiana, where he played an integral role in statewide outreach efforts. His leadership and strategic acumen led him to serve as Director of Strategic Initiatives for the RNC, where he worked to expand conservative engagement within key communities. He was later tapped by U.S. Senator David Vitter to serve on his Senate staff until the senator’s retirement in 2016.

Following his tenure in Louisiana politics, Marcus relocated to Texas with his wife and stepson, where he was recruited by the Republican Party of Texas to serve as Regional Field Director for Southeast Texas. During his time there, he strengthened statewide grassroots networks and mobilized communities around conservative policies. Simultaneously, he served as the Texas State Director and Deputy Chief of Staff for the Black Conservative Federation, further advancing outreach initiatives at both the state and national levels.

Now, as our Director of Engagement, Marcus leads efforts to mobilize supporters, expand community outreach, and drive grassroots initiatives that align with the PAC’s mission to strengthen families, promote economic empowerment, and advocate for conservative policies. His deep experience in political organizing and relationship-building makes him a key force in expanding the PAC’s influence and fostering long-term engagement.

Marcus is a proud family man, a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., and a dedicated pro wrestling enthusiast.
